About Solomon
Solomon hails from the Northern Town of Saint Lucia known for its Friday Night Street Party to both Nationals and visitors alike.
Solly, as he is known to many has been in academia for nearly 40 years and have taught students at all levels (ages 10 – 60+) starting in the classroom in his native Saint Lucia from 1983.
He joined UEL as a lecturer in 2000 teaching mainly computing modules to undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has since held many positions including Director of Collaborative Provision and Student Experience in the School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering as well as a field leader for the academic areas of Computer Systems and Networks and later Information Technology and Digital Media.
His passion lies in creating opportunities for increasing aspirations and widening learning participation for young adults and promoting health and wellbeing.
He resides in Essex with his family.
